Academic staff member (f/m/d) in the field of computer science with completed doctorate (PostDoc)

Your tasks

You are part of the KASTEL Security Research Labs and do research within the Topics "Engineering Secure Systems" of the Helmholtz Association. You will be engaged in research tasks in the field of cryptography with applications in privacy-preserving computation (especially: secure multi-party computation) e.g. in the mobility context. Results of your research will be both theoretical security concepts (e.g., protocol design, security proofs) and their practical implementation (e.g., demonstrators) in an application domain. In addition, the organization and execution of scientific events (e.g., workshops, projects, thesis supervision) are part of your responsibilities.

Your qualifications

You have a university degree (Diplom (Uni) / Master) in computer science or a directly related field, as well as a completed PhD in cryptography. In addition, extensive expertise in the area of privacy-protecting cryptographic protocols, especially "Secure Multiparty Computation" (MPC) is required. Experience with MPC compilers such as SCALE-MAMBA is desirable. Furthermore, an interest in interdisciplinary research is desirable. Personally, you are characterized by an independent, structured way of working and a high degree of reliability. You also bring initiative, flexibility as well as strong communication and team skills.
